Jackson-139 Culvert Replacement On Tap This Week
Route To Remain Open To One Lane
Chillicothe (Wednesday, May 10, 2017) – A culvert replacement project on state Route 139 in Jackson County has been scheduled this week, with single-lane restrictions in effect Thursday and Friday.
On May 11 and 12, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Jackson County Highway Maintenance Facility will be replacing a deteriorated culvert at the 10.7-mile marker on S.R. 139, between Township Road 276 (Exline Road) and T.R. 714 (Karr Road). The project site is located approximately two miles south of the intersection with S.R. 32, and the route will be reduced to one lane from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Although the route will remain open and traffic will be maintained by flaggers, motorists may encounter short-term periods of delay. The entire project is anticipated to be completed by 4 p.m. Friday.
