CANCELED: Jackson-327 Rock Excavation Project Meeting
Construction Staff Will Reschedule Soon
Chillicothe (Wednesday, February 18, 2015) – Due to the weather and extreme cold, tonight’s meeting to discuss blasting operations for the state Route 327 excavation project in Jackson County has been canceled.
Staff from the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s construction department and the contractors for the project will reschedule the meeting in the immediate future. Although a date has not been established, it is anticipated that the meeting will be held in late February or early March and prior to the start of any blasting.
The construction project, which is expected to begin in mid-March, includes removing the rock and constructing benches along the east hillside of S.R. 327 between Township Road 207 (Woodrow Hale Road) and T.R. 804 (Ray Cemetery Road), approximately two miles south of the Jackson-Vinton County line.
