Chillicothe (Monday, June 14, 2010) – The schedule for a culvert replacement project that is under way on state Route 93 in Jackson County has been extended through next weekend, and the route will be closed through Monday, June 21.
The route was closed to traffic earlier today, June 14, for crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation Jackson County Highway Maintenance Facility to begin replacing a deteriorated culvert located at the village of Coalton.
Although the closure was scheduled to be in effect through the end of the business day Friday, June 18, the route will remain closed until the end of the business day Monday, June 21, or approximately 4 p.m., for crews to install guardrail within the project zone.
While the route is closed, motorists are being detoured by way of state routes 788 and 93.
