Chillicothe (Friday, May 12, 2017) – Contractors for the Lake White Dam Rehabilitation project are set to begin the reconstruction of state Route 552 and County Road 105 (Forest Hills Boulevard); however, today’s closure of both routes has been rescheduled for next week.
S.R. 552 and C.R. 105 will now be closed at their junction with S.R. 104 on Monday, May 15. This phase of the project includes widening the intersection and adding turn lanes on S.R. 552, as well as realigning the Forest Hills Boulevard junction with S.R. 104 for its realignment and repairing a slide.
With the closure of S.R. 552 and the lower (south) end of Forest Hills Boulevard, thru-traffic will be routed by way of S.R. 220 at Waverly.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
