Lane Restrictions At S.R. 335, Barklow Road Beginning Tomorrow
Chillicothe (Thursday, June 16, 2016) – Additional lane restrictions will be imparted on state Route 335 in Scioto County beginning tomorrow as construction of the Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway moves ahead at a rapid pace.
On Friday and Monday, June 17 and 20, S.R. 335 will be reduced to one lane at C.R. 540 (Barklow Road) while Portsmouth Joint Venture crews set attenuators and barrier wall at the routes’ junction in preparation for bridge construction near the site of the future Shumway Hollow interchange.
On both days, traffic will be maintained in one lane by flaggers from approximately 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Following this, traffic at Barklow Road will be maintained with temporary signals to accommodate bridge construction over the CSX Railroad line and other improvements to S.R. 335.

The Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway is the department’s first P3 project and the largest, modern earthwork project to be constructed in the state’s history.
