Last Flooded Route Reopens In Lawrence County
All State Routes Open To Traffic
Chillicothe (Thursday, May 6, 2010 – 3:45 p.m.) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation's Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility have reopened state Route 217 at Linnville, which was the last section of state roadway in the county still closed following last weekend's storms.
With the exception of state Route 505 in Brown County, which has been closed since Sunday night due to a slip, all roads in District 9 that were closed due to flooding are now open to traffic. Although crews from ODOT's Brown County facility are working to restore the route, an exact date to reopen it is unknown. However, it is anticipated that operations will be completed by the end of next week.
