Lawrence-7 Closed Due To Landslide
Chillicothe (Wednesday, July 21, 2010) – Westbound state Route 7 in Lawrence County has been closed at Chesapeake due to a landslide.
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility have closed both westbound lanes between U.S. Route 52 and S.R. 527 at Chesapeake where a landslide has occurred near County Road 124 (Tallow Ridge Road) and the 1.0-mile marker.
Motorists will be detoured through the village of Chesapeake via C.R. 1(old U.S. 52) and C.R. 144 (Charley Creek Road).
Currently, the eastbound lanes of the route are not affected by this closure.
