Project Set To Begin Next Week
To Be In Effect On U.S. 35
Chillicothe (Friday, May 02, 2014) – Contractors
for the Ohio Department of Transportation are set to begin operations for a
bridge sealing project on U.S. Route 35 in Ross County next week.
Crews from A&A
Painting will be removing and replacing the sealants on various bridges in
the east and westbound direction on U.S. 35.
Construction includes repairing concrete bridge decks and approach slabs, as
well as removing existing sealant and re-sealing the bridges at locations
between the Fayette and Jackson County lines.
Construction is scheduled
to begin Thursday, May 8, and traffic will be maintained in
a minimum of one lane in each direction when crews are working at designated
A&A Painting was
awarded a contract for approximately $522,305 in March to complete the
project, and all work should be completed by late July.
