Multi-Bridge Project Set To Begin On Jackson-35
Lane Restrictions To Be In Effect Later This Month
Chillicothe (Thursday, April 7, 2016) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation are set to begin operations for a bridge sealing project on U.S. Route 35 in Jackson County later this month.
Crews from A&A Painting will be removing and replacing the sealants on various bridges in the east and westbound direction on U.S. 35. Construction includes repairing concrete bridge decks and approach slabs, as well as removing existing sealant and re-sealing the bridges at locations between Township Road 223 (Caves Road) and the S.R. 32 interchange.
Contractors are scheduled to begin Monday, April 18, and traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction when crews are working at designated locations.
A&A Painting was awarded a contract for approximately $208,398 in March to complete the project, and all work should be completed in early summer.
