Multi-County Culvert Project Set To Begin Next Week
Traffic impacts should be minimal during construction
Chillicothe (Tuesday, July 5, 2016) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation are set to begin operations for a culvert rehabilitation project on three routes in Adams, Brown and Pike counties.
Crews from WAI Construction Group will be installing culvert liners at locations on state Route 32 in Adams County, U.S. Route 68 in Brown County and S.R. 772 in Pike County. More specifically, the culverts are located on S.R. 32 between C.R. 127 (Black Hollow Road) and C.R. 333 (White Pine Road); on U.S. 68 at the southern corporation limit of Fayetteville, just north of T.R. 581 (Ohio Street); and on S.R. 772, just north of S.R. 220
Contractors are scheduled to begin Monday, July 11, starting on S.R. 772 in Pike County. As most work will be conducted off the roadway, there should be little to no impact to motorists throughout construction. However, traffic on two-lane routes will be maintained by flaggers as needed when crews are working at designated locations.
WAI Construction Group of Piketon, Ohio, was awarded a contract for approximately $286,809 in May to complete the project, and all work should be finished in late summer.
