ODOT Crews On Duty For More Inclement Weather
Chillicothe (Monday, February 04, 2013, 5:15 p.m.) – All available crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 have been dispatched this evening for another winter storm.
With snow falling across most of the region, routes throughout the area are wet and slick, and the snow is starting to stick to the wet pavement. Ice is also likely to develop as temperatures hover near freezing, particularly in the district’s northern counties.
While ODOT crews will be on duty throughout this winter storm event, motorists need to do their part and drive with additional caution. Along with being prepared and knowing the forecast, drivers need to stay alert, allow additional travel time and maintain a safe following distance, remembering to reduce their speed as conditions can change from minute to minute and mile to mile.
District 9 includes Adams, Brown, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties.
