Owl Creek Road Closed For Bridge Replacement
Chillicothe (Wednesday, April 20, 2011) – A bridge replacement project is under way on County Road 64, and contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have now closed the road to traffic.
C.R. 64 (Owl Creek Road) was closed Monday, April 18, for crews from J & J Schlaegel to replace a structure located over Owl Creek at the route’s 2.97-mile marker. The project site is located just south of Township Road 627 (Rapp-Montgomery Road) and north of the west junction with County Road 70 (Hunting Run Road).
The bridge is scheduled to be closed for up to 90 days, and while it is closed, motorists will be detoured via Hunting Run Road.
J & J Schlaegel, Inc., of Urbana, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $357,498 to complete the project, and the scheduled completion date is August 15, 2011.
