Operations Scheduled Next Week
(Friday, August 15, 2014) -- As
part of the U.S. Route 52 rehabilitation project in Scioto County,
contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will impart additional
lane restrictions next week in order to complete paving operations.
On Monday, August 18,
crews from Complete General Construction will begin resurfacing S.R. 852 and
S.R. 73/104 from the Carl Perkins Bridge to the routes' junction with S.R.
239 at West Portsmouth. Crews will also be working along the various
interchange ramps within the project zone.
The restrictions are
anticipated to be in effect through the end of the work day Friday, August
22, and throughout the week, traffic will be reduced to one lane and
maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.
Motorists are advised
to expect intermittent periods of delay, and they are also reminded of the
need for additional caution.
The two-year, $12
million design-build project is scheduled for an early fall completion.
