Paving Project Set To Start On S.R. 73
Chillicothe (Monday, August 8, 2016) – A second paving project is about to begin on state Route 73 in Highland County, with construction starting Thursday, August 11.
During the next few weeks, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 will be applying a microsurfacing treatment to S.R. 73 West.
The seven-mile work zone extends from the city of Hillsboro’s corporation limit to the Clinton County line, and throughout construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.
Motorists may encounter temporary periods of delay in the construction zone, and they are reminded to reduce their speed and of the need for additional caution when traveling through these and other work zones.
Strawser Construction Incorporated was awarded a contract in the amount of $487,731 to complete the project, and all work is anticipated to be finished in early fall.
