Paving Under Way On Main Street
Lane, Parking Restrictions In Effect This Week
Chillicothe (Monday, October 28, 2013) – With a corridor improvement project under way on U.S. Route 50 (Main Street) in Chillicothe, lane and parking restrictions will be in effect throughout the week.
Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be paving Main Street between the High Street/Carlisle Avenue intersection and Bridge Street, reducing the route to one lane in each direction during daytime, business hours.
In addition to the lane restrictions, parking restrictions will also be in effect for paving and striping operations, and motorists will not be permitted to park on Main Street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
Shelly & Sands, Inc., was awarded a contract in the amount of approximately $1.35 million to complete the turn-lane addition and improvement project, and all work is scheduled to be completed by mid-December.
