Paving Operations Ready To Start On State Route 772
Chillicothe - A much anticipated resurfacing project will get under way soon, as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation begin paving operations next week on state Route 772 in Ross County.
While contractors for the department have already begun site preparations, crews will begin resurfacing Ross-772 during the week of May 11, weather permitting. The 8.9-mile project extends from the route’s junction with County Road 167 (Blain Highway) to the southern corporation limit of Chillicothe.
The Shelly Company of Thornville, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $1.24 million to complete the resurfacing project. Throughout construction, two-way traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers as needed, and the project is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2009.
