Memorial Sign Dedication
WHAT: Pfc. Zachary Gullett Memorial Highway sign unveiling.
WHY: In honor of Pfc. Zachary Gullett, who died on May 1, 2007 while serving with the
984th MP Company in Iraq.
WHEN: Thursday, September 1, 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: At the 12.0-mile marker on U.S. Route 50, near the western corporation
limit of Hillsboro and between Township Road 278 (Fenner Road) and
Township Road 225B (Tolle Road).
Passed in June, House Bill 65 establishes 24 new memorial highways and six new memorial bridges on Ohio’s state highway system. Included in this legislation is the naming of U.S. 50 between Hillsboro and Rainsboro as the Pfc. Zachary Gullett Memorial Highway.
Representatives from ODOT District 9 will be joined by Rep. Cliff Rosenberger, Sen. Dave Daniels and members of the Gullett family for a ceremonial sign veiling on Thursday, September 1, to honor Pfc. Gullett and his service to the country.
