Pike-104 Reopens To Traffic
Chillicothe (Tuesday, September 23, 2014) – State Route 104 in Pike County is now open at Lake White State Park following its closure Labor Day weekend due to a leak at the dam.
The route was closed Saturday, August 30, following a routine maintenance inspection by park officers who found seepage along the southern edge of the spillway.
Since the closure, engineers from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and their consultants, Stantec, have identified the cause and stabilized the seepage, and they are now assessing the dam and establishing plans for any permanent, long-term repairs.
Although the route is open to traffic, ODOT forces are prepared to enact a closure should additional concerns arise or the roadway be comprised.
Additional information may be found online at http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/lakewhite, and statewide information on lane and road closures caused by construction, accidents, flooding or other related traffic events can be found on ODOT’s web site at www.ohgo.com
