Pike-220 Relocation Project Meeting To Be Held
Chillicothe (Thursday, February 3, 2011) – An open house and public meeting will be held Monday, February 7, to review the upcoming state Route 220 relocation project and its journalization to the state highway system in Pike County.
Representatives from the Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9 will host a meeting to address the (ODOT) Director’s Journal Entry for relocating S.R. 220 and transferring the abandoned portion of the existing route to the Pike County Commissioners’ highway system.
The project to relocate a section of state Route 220, from its intersection with County Road 78 (Zahn’s Corner Road) to S.R. 32 by way of C.R. 81 (Schuster Road) calls for upgrading Schuster Road to the state highway system, as well as abandoning the existing section of S.R. 220 between Zahn’s Corner Road and S.R. 32 and eliminating the thru or crossover access to C.R. 66 (Germany Road).
The meeting will be held February 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pike County ODOT Highway Maintenance Facility, 5591 Wakefield Mound Road, just south of Piketon. Public comment forms will be available, and written or oral comments may be submitted at the meeting; written comments may also be submitted through February 22 by mail to:
