Pike-552 Culvert Replacement Completed
Chillicothe (Tuesday, August 14, 2012) – Although a culvert replacement project on state Route 552 in Pike County was delayed due to a matter involving the delivery of materials, the project has been completed, and the route is now open to traffic.
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Pike County facility had closed S.R. 552 just south of its junction with S.R. 220 on Monday, August 6, to replace the deteriorated culvert. Due to the delays concerning the delivery of the box culvert on Wednesday, August 8, the project was put on hold through the weekend and into this week.
Following the culvert’s arrival on site yesterday, maintenance crews worked to expedite the replacement project, and the route is now open to traffic two days in advance of the revised schedule.
