Pleasant Valley Road Slated For Closure
Moundsville Road Now Open To Traffic
Chillicothe - In conjunction with the widening of state Route 104 in Ross County, Pleasant Valley Road will be closed temporarily for an improvement project in the Frenchtown community.
On Monday, October 12, crews from Shelly and Sands Incorporated will close County Road 127 (Pleasant Valley Road) between S.R. 104 and Moundsville Road, where they will begin the construction of its junction with Industrial Drive, adjacent to state Route 104.
While the road is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of Moundsville Road, which is now open following its reconstruction with Route 104.

As the widening project on state Route 104 continues this year and next, ODOT has established an alternate route between the U.S. 35 interchange and the S.R. 207connector to alleviate the impact to motorists.
Routing traffic away from the construction zone, alternate Ohio-104 signs have been placed along the U.S. 35 and U.S. 23 corridors, as well as on Bridge and Main streets in downtown Chillicothe. The suggested route is S.R. 159/Business U.S. 23 (Bridge Street) to S.R. 207.
With an investment of $6.5 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and total construction cost of $10.6 million, the Ross-104 Widening project is being constructed by Shelly and Sands of Zanesville, Ohio, and the completion date is fall of 2010.
