Prussia, Denver Roads Reopen To Traffic
Chillicothe (Thursday, October 23, 2014) – A pair of Pike County county roads are now open to traffic following a reconstruction project at their intersection.
County Road 47 (Denver Road) and C.R. 46 (Prussia Road) were reopened to traffic today, October 23, after crews from Foill, Inc., completed all major construction for the bridge replacement and realignment project. In addition to replacing the Prussia Run bridge on Denver Road, the project called for realigning 1,700 feet of roadway on Denver Road and 250 feet on Prussia Road.
Although both roads are open, there is some minor finishing work that includes seeding and mulching which remains to be completed; however, traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed when crews are at work.
Foill, Inc. of Waverly, Ohio was awarded a contract for approximately $1.03 million to complete the project, and while all work is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.
