ODOT Seeking Public Comments For Upcoming Projects
Chillicothe (Thursday, November 17, 2011) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed projects.
Adams County – Harshaville Covered Bridge; PID: 89330 – A project to install new siding and roofing, repair the existing roofing support, apply fire retardant, replace existing back wall, improve lateral bracing, replace the wood deck, add new guardrail and replace steel beams. The vertical clearance of the bridge will be raised through the addition of concrete abutment and pier caps.
Ross-772-13.50; PID: 83652 – A project to correct the landslide damage to S.R. 772 in Huntington and Scioto townships in Ross County. A 564-foot drilled wall with pre-cast panels will be built along S.R. 772. The project also involves the reconstruction of the westbound lane on the existing alignment for 480 feet.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect of these project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by December 1, 2011, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
