ODOT Seeking Public Comments For Upcoming Projects
Chillicothe (Friday, January 13, 2012) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project.
Scioto County – SCI-140-9.22/9.48; PID: 84965 – The proposed project will replace two bridges over an unnamed tributary of Frederick Creek on state Route 140 in Scioto County. Both existing bridges are simple span concrete slabs on concrete wall abutments. The bridge located at the 9.22-mile marker will need approximately 0.02 acres of right of way that is situated on a wooded slope. All work at the 9.48-mile marker bridge will take place within the existing right of way, so additional right of way will not be required. No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect of these projects on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by January 27, 2012, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
