ODOT Seeking Public Comments For Upcoming Projects
Chillicothe (Thursday, November 17, 2011) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed projects.
Brown County – Ripley Streetscape; PID: 83307 – A streetscape project on Main Street in Ripley, between Second and Fourth streets. The project includes curb reconstruction, installing brick paver sidewalks, landscaping, street lighting, sign poles and relocating electric lines from overhead to underground.
Jackson-279-3.64 – A culvert replacement project on S.R. 279 in Hamilton Township. The project calls for replacing an existing 39” metal pipe with a 65” metal pipe over an unnamed tributary of Holland Fork. All work will take place within existing ODOT right of way, and the project will be constructed by ODOT county forces with 100% state funding.
Pike-772-23.58 – A culvert replacement project on S.R. 772 in Benton Township. The project calls for replacing an existing 3X6’ metal pipe with a 4X8’ concrete box culvert over an unnamed tributary of the Right Fork of Morgan Fork. All work will take place within existing ODOT right of way, and the project will be constructed by ODOT county forces with 100% state funding.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect of these project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by December 1, 2011, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
