Rain Changing To Snow In Northern, Western Part of District 9
Motorists advised of potential drifting
Chillicothe (Friday, February 5, 4:25 p.m.) - As the precipitation changes from rain to snow this afternoon, it's evident that conditions change from mile to mile, minute to minute.
In Highland and Ross counties, rain has turned to snow, and the area's routes are now becoming slushy and lightly snow covered.
Materials have been applied to all routes; however, the rate of accumulation is likely to grow stronger and gusting winds tonight and tomorrow morning may cause blowing and drifting snow. Remember: Ice and Snow...Take it Slow!
Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution, remembering to reduce their speed, allow additional travel time and avoid following other motorists and snowplow operators too closely. Remember: Don't Crowd the Plow!
