Closures On Tap For Ross-35 Bridge Project
Restrictions To Be In
Chillicothe (Thursday, June 12, 2014) – As
part of a bridge sealing project on U.S. Route 35 in Ross County, contractors
for the Ohio Department of Transportation will impart a daytime closure this
weekend at two of the bypass on-ramps.

Painting are removing and replacing the sealants on various bridges in
the east and westbound direction on U.S. 35.
Construction includes repairing concrete bridge decks and approach slabs, as
well as removing existing sealant and re-sealing the bridges at locations
between the Fayette and Jackson County lines.
mainline traffic on U.S. 35 will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in
each direction, the contractors will close the on-ramp from S.R. 104 North to
U.S. 35 East and the on-ramp from S.R. 159 North to U.S. 35 West. The ramp
closures are necessary in order to navigate motorists safely through the construction
zone between the S.R. 104 (High Street) and S.R. 159 (Bridge Street) exits.
The closure of both ramps will go into
effect at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 15, and continue until approximately 8 p.m., or
until all work is completed. Motorists may detour locally via High, Bridge and

awarded a contract for approximately $522,305 in March to complete the
project, and all work should be completed by late July.
