Restrictions Slated For U.S. 35/S.R. 159 Interchange
Off-Ramp To Bridge Street Will Be Reduced To One Lane
Chillicothe (Wednesday, February 15, 2012) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will impart lane restrictions at the interchange for U.S. Route 35 and state Route 159 next week for an electrical maintenance project.
On Tuesday, February 21, crews from Perram Electric will restrict traffic exiting from U.S. 35 East to S.R. 159/Bridge Street between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in order to make repairs to a lighting pole at the interchange. Throughout the day, the inside left-turn lanes will be closed, and traffic will be restricted via the shoulder to a single left-turn lane and a continuous right-turn lane at the ramp’s junction with Bridge Street.
Although the off-ramp will be open, motorists are advised of possible delay and the potential for stopped traffic on the off-ramp as well as on U.S. 35 East. In order to avoid delays, motorists may want to seek alternate routes via S.R. 104 or Main Street.
All work should be completed by the end of the business day Tuesday.
