Project Set To Start In Hillsboro
operations to begin July 30
(Monday, July 24, 2017) – Preliminary operations
are under way for a construction project in Hillsboro, as contractors for the
Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 will be resurfacing U.S. Route
62 (High Street) through the city.
Crews from Cox Paving,
LLC will be paving High Street from the southern corporation limit near
Dunlap Road to the northern corporation limit at Diamond Drive. The four-mile
work zone includes a 1.5-inch overlay or a 1.5-inch mill and fill, depending
on the location, as well as partial-depth repairs and pavement markings.
With repairs and other
preliminary work under way this week, the milling and filling paving work is
scheduled to begin the week of July 30. Throughout
construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane and maintained by
flaggers when crews are at work; however, paving operations will be conducted
during the evening and overnight hours in order to diminish the impact to
