Bridge repair set to begin late next week
Chillicothe (Thursday, June 30, 2010) – Construction will get under way in mid-July to repair a bridge over No Name Creek on state Route 32 in Pike County.
According to Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9 Deputy Director Vaughn Wilson, crews from the Shelly Company will undertake a $2,645,194.74 project to repair the structure that is located just west of the route’s junction with state Route 104, as part of a four-lane resurfacing project.
Construction has already begun for the minor rehabilitation of the route, where contractors are paving between Township Road 338 (Gleason Road) and the S.R. 104.
This next phase of construction to repair the bridge is scheduled to get under way Friday, July 8, and throughout the project, traffic will be maintained in one, 12-foot lane with a barrier wall.
The completion date is scheduled for September 30, 2011.
