Resurfacing Project Set To Begin On Brown-763
Chillicothe - A two-lane resurfacing project is scheduled to begin in the coming week on state Route 763 in Brown County.
According to Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 Deputy Director James Brushart, contractors will be resurfacing a 4.37-mile section of the route between state Route 41 north of Aberdeen and County Road 49 (Bradysville Road) near the community of Heitt.
“Although the construction season is winding down, contractors and maintenance crews continue their work to improve our highways and make them safe for travel. Therefore, it is important that motorists heed traffic advisories and exercise additional caution when traveling in work zones,” said Brushart.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, September 15, and throughout the project, traffic will be maintained in one lane in each direction with the use of flaggers.
The John R. Jurgensen Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $552,257 to complete the resurfacing project, and the project is scheduled to be completed by October 31, 2008.
