Resurfacing Project Set To Begin On Jackson-35

Chillicothe - Following the holiday weekend, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 will impart lane restrictions for a four-lane resurfacing project in Jackson County.
On Monday, July 7, crews from Shelly and Sands Incorporated will reduce U.S. Route 35 to one lane in each direction between County Road 71 (Lloyds Bridge Road) and state Route 32 near Jackson.
Shelly and Sands, of Zanesville, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of approximately $3.58 million to resurface U.S. 35, and throughout construction traffic will be maintained in at least one lane in each direction.
The completion date for the project is October 31, 2008.
