Ross-104 Closure Rescheduled
Route To Be Closed During Overnight Hours Tonight
Chillicothe B Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have rescheduled the closure of state Route 104 for the next phase of the bike path bridge construction project.
S.R. 104 will be closed during the overnight hours tonight, August 7, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., while crews from Double Z Construction Company set the bridge over the highway.
The route will be closed immediately south of the U.S. Route 35 interchange, and while it is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. 35, Bridge Street (S.R. 159), Main Street (U.S. 50) and High Street (S.R. 104).
Double Z Construction Company of Columbus, Ohio, is constructing the bridge for approximately $1.2 million, and the project is scheduled to be completed in October.

In addition to tonight’s detour, through-traffic motorists are advised to use the alternate Ohio-104 routing that ODOT has established for the widening project that is also under way.
Alternate Ohio-104 signs have been erected along the U.S. 35 and U.S. 23 corridors, as well as on Bridge and Main streets in downtown Chillicothe, to route traffic away from the construction zone between the U.S. 35 interchange and the S.R. 207connector.
The suggested route is S.R. 159/Business U.S. 23 (Bridge Street) to S.R. 207.
