Ross-23 Rehab Project Ready To Resume
Chillicothe (Thursday, March 7, 2013) – After a winter hiatus, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation are ready to resume a resurfacing and rehabilitation project on U.S. Route 23 in Ross County.
On Monday, March 11, crews from Shelly and Sands Incorporated will return to U.S. 23 to complete joint work and bridge painting within the construction zone at the Chillicothe bypass. The project, which began in April 2012 but was suspended for the winter months, included resurfacing the route and rehabilitating the bridges between the Scioto River Bridge near the U.S. 35 split and the Three Locks Road exit.
Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one, 12-foot lane in each direction, and the remainder of construction is anticipated to be completed by late April.
