Ross-28 Now Open
Chillicothe - Following a month-long closure, state Route 28 in Ross County is now open to traffic.
The route was closed last month after a stone culvert located just west of Township Road 899 (Halley Lane) collapsed, causing the shoulder to give way and undermining the pavement.
Since its closure, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Ross County Highway Maintenance Facility have been working to restore the roadway, replacing the culvert and bringing the base and pavement up to grade.
The route was open shortly after 1:30 p.m. today, June 24. For information on additional lane and road closures caused by construction, accidents, flooding or other related traffic events visit ODOTs web site at www.buckeyetraffic.org
