Comment Period Open For Scioto County Bridge Replacement
SCI-125-0.73/2.11 (PID: 91411) – It is proposed to replace the single-span concrete slab bridge located at the 0.73-mile marker and situated immediately east of the Adams County line with a 10 x 4-foot precast, concrete box culvert. The project will require approximately 0.0601 acres of permanent right of way and 0.2301 acres of temporary right of way. A concrete block shed will be removed as part of the project; however, no trees that have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat will be removed.
The second bridge, located at the 2.11-mile marker and situated between Forest Roads 6 and 25, is a single-span concrete slab bridge, and it will be replaced with a 12 x 4-foot precast, concrete box culvert. The project will require 0.097 acres of permanent right of way and 0.1278 acres of temporary right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed by the project.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by April 20, 2015, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
