S.R. 125 Culvert Replacement Set To Begin July 18
Route to be closed for up to 45 days
Chillicothe (Tuesday, July 5, 2016) – Operations for a culvert replacement project are set to begin on state Route 125 in Adams County, with the route closing to traffic later this month.
On Monday, July 18, crews from Sunesis Construction will close S.R. 125 at the 1.41-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert situated over Spock Run. The project site is located just west of Township Road 13 (Aid Run Road), approximately 1.5 miles east of the Adams-Brown County line, and the existing stone and corrugated metal arch pipe will be replaced with an 8’ x 5’ concrete box culvert.
The closure will be in effect for up to 45 days, and while S.R. 125 is closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 136, S.R. 41 and S.R. 763 in Brown County; a local detour will also be established.
Sunesis Construction was awarded a contract in June for approximately $233,167 to replace the culvert, and all work is anticipated to be completed in late September.
