220 To Be Closed For Railroad Repair
July 01, 2014) – State Route 220 in Pike County will be
closed one day next week for railroad repair at the Norfolk and Southern
On Tuesday, July 8,
crews from Norfolk and Southern Railroad will close the route at County Road
51 (River Road), one mile south of Waverly, in order to replace ties on the
bridge deck over S.R. 220.
The closure will be
in effect from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and while the route is closed,
motorists will be detoured via U.S. 23 and S.R. 32.
