S.R. 220 To Undergo Culvert Replacement
Route to be closed week of November 12
Chillicothe (Friday, November 02, 2012) – A four-day culvert replacement project has been scheduled for state Route 220 in Pike County this month, requiring closure of the route while work is under way.
Following the Veteran’s Day holiday, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Pike County facility will close S.R. 220 at the 11.99-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert. The project site is located between Township Road 501 (Marcus Run Road) and T.R. 537 (Progress Drive), south of Waverly.
The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, and continue until 4 p.m. Friday, November 16, or until all work is completed, and completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.
While S.R. 220 is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. 23 at Waverly to S.R. 32 at Piketon.
