S.R. 221 Culvert Replacement Scheduled Monday
Route to be closed for one day
Chillicothe (Friday, May 13, 2016) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility will undertake a culvert replacement project on state Route 221 next week, requiring a single-day closure of the route.
On Monday, May 16, S.R. 221 will be closed at the 5.15-mile marker, approximately two miles south of Georgetown, where crews will be working from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to replace a deteriorated culvert. Although the project should be completed by late afternoon, the closure will be in effect until all work is completed.
While S.R. 221 is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 52 at Higginsport to S.R. 505, S.R. 756 and S.R. 125 at Georgetown.
