S.R. 221 Now Open Following Pavement Repair Project
Chillicothe (Friday, November 16, 2012) – Following a two-week pavement repair project, state Route 221 in Brown County is now open to traffic.
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility closed the route on Monday, November 5, to reconstruct a portion of the route between Higginsport and Georgetown. The route had been restricted to one lane near the 6.5-mile marker after it became comprised due to a slip and shoulder collapse.
Repairs have now been completed, and the route was opened today, November 16, at approximately 2 p.m.
