348 Bridge Replacement Project Gets Under Way
Thirty-day closure in
July 2, 2018) – Construction for a bridge replacement project on state
Route 348 in Adams County is getting under way, and the route will be
closed today, July 2.
S.R. 348 will
be closed at its junction with T.R. 80089 (Holcomb Road), between S.R. 125
and C.R. 5 (Compton Hill Road), for crews from Coopers Excavating to replace
the corrugated metal pipe arch structure with a 12x10’ precast concrete box
culvert and full-height headwalls and wingwalls.
The closure is scheduled to be in
effect for up to 30 days, and while the route is closed, motorists will be
detoured via S.R. 781, S.R. 41 and S.R. 125.
Coopers Excavating, LLC was awarded a contract for approximately
$386,848 to replace the structure, and all work is anticipated to be
completed by late August.
