S.R. 348 Reopens To Traffic Ahead Of Schedule;
Culvert Replacement Project Slated For Adams-73
Chillicothe (Monday, August 29, 2011) – One month ahead of the scheduled completion date, a bridge replacement project on state Route 348 in Adams County has been completed, and the route is reopening to traffic this afternoon.
The route was closed in March for crews from DGM, Incorporated to replace two structures located in the Cedar Mills area. With a scheduled completion date of September 30, all major construction has been completed, and the route will be open to traffic by 2:30 p.m. today, August 29.

In a separate project, state Route 73 will be closed for one week next month as Ohio Department of Transportation maintenance forces undertake a culvert replacement project near County Road 18 (Jaybird Road).
During the week of September 26, S.R. 73 will be closed while crews from ODOT’s Adams County Highway Maintenance Facility replace a deteriorated pipe located at the 13.85-mile marker. The project site is situated between Jaybird Road and the Scioto County line.
Closure of the route will go into effect at 8 a.m. Monday, September 26, and the route is scheduled to be closed until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, September 30, or until all work is completed.
Throughout the week, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 32 to U.S. 23 South in Pike County to U.S. 52 and S.R. 73 in Scioto County.
