S.R. 505 Culvert Replacements On Tap
Brown County Route To Be Closed During Business Hours
Chillicothe (Monday, June 15, 2015) – A pair of culvert replacements has been scheduled for state Route 505 in Brown County, and the route will be closed during daytime, business hours for three days next week.
On Tuesday, June 23, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County facility will close S.R. 505 at the 5.38-mile marker, just north of County Road 59 (Love Road) for a single-day culvert replacement project. Then, on Wednesday and Thursday, June 24 and 25, S.R. 505 will be closed at the 0.79 and 0.89-mile markers, just north of Higginsport, for two, single-day culvert replacements at these locations.
Throughout the three-day project, the route will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with the route open to two-way traffic during the evening and overnight hours. During periods of closure, however, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 52 and S.R. 221 at Higginsport to S.R. 125 and S.R. 505/756.
Although the entire project is anticipated to be completed by the close of the business day Thursday, June 25, completion of all work will be contingent upon the weather.
