S.R. 7 Closed At Chesapeake
Chillicothe (Friday, November 01, 2013) – State Route 7 in Lawrence County has been closed due to a downed utility pole and power lines.
S.R. 7 is closed at County Road 124 (Tallow Ridge Road), just east of Chesapeake, due to downed lines that came down following a rash of storms and high winds during the overnight. The closure is anticipated to be in effect through the morning and early afternoon hours while the area utility company is working to make repairs and restore the lines.
ODOT and emergency crews are providing traffic control, and motorists may detour via U.S. 52 East and the 17th Street (Nick Rahall) Bridge at Huntington and the 6th Street (S.R. 527/Robert Byrd) Bridge in Huntington to S.R. 7/S.R. 527 at Chesapeake.
