S.R. 72 Now Open Following Railroad Repair
Chillicothe (Tuesday, July 21, 2015) – State Route 72 in Highland County has been reopened following a railroad repair to the Greenfield Rail Line.
As part of the village of Greenfield’s rail line improvement project, contractors for the village closed Ohio-72 between U.S. Route 62 at Samantha and S.R. 28 at Highland on Friday, July 17, in order to repair the at-grade railroad crossing that is situated approximately one-half mile south of Highland.
The project on S.R. 72 was scheduled to continue through the end of the business day today, July 21st; however, all work has been completed in advance, and the route has been reopened.
