S.R. 73 Alignment Project Set To Begin
Chillicothe (Friday, April 13, 2012) – With the start of the 2012 construction season under way, Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 9 Deputy Director Vaughn Wilson announces the start of a safety improvement project in Adams County.
According to Wilson, crews from DGM, Incorporated are scheduled to start the state Route 73 realignment project on Thursday, April 19, weather permitting. The improvement project will realign the intersection of S.R. 73 and add a left-turn lane at the route’s junction with County Road 18H (Jaybird Road).
“While improving the safety of the route between S.R. 32 and the Adams-Scioto County line, the project will also serve to enhance the capacity for those traveling onto Jaybird Road,” said Wilson.
DGM, Incorporated, of Beaver, Ohio was awarded the contract in March in the amount of $754,673, and it is anticipated that construction will be completed by late summer.
