S.R. 763 Slide Repair Project Ahead Of Schedule
Back-to-back closures to be completed in early August
Chillicothe (Friday, July 22, 2016) – Getting ahead of schedule, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility will complete the first of a pair of slide repair projects on state Route 763 early next week.
ODOT crews closed S.R. 763 between Township Road 24 (West Fork Road) and the intersection with S.R. 353/125, on Monday, July 18, in order to repair a slide at the 11.7-mile marker. Although the route was scheduled to be closed through the end of next week, the maintenance crews have been working ahead of schedule, and S.R. 763 will be reopened at this location on Monday, July 25.
After crews have reopened S.R. 763 at the 11.7-mile marker, they will move south to the 1.5-mile marker, closing the route between T.R. 350 (Lawwill Road) and T.R. 246 (East Fork Road), immediately north of C.R. 31 (Martin Hill Road), for a slide repair at this location.
With this second slide repair project beginning Monday, it is anticipated that it will be completed by Friday, August 5, rather than the original August 11 completion; however, the schedule to complete the project will be contingent upon the weather. While the route is closed at either location, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 41, U.S. 52, U.S. 62/68 and S.R. 353.
