S.R. 785 Culvert Replacement Scheduled Next Week

Chillicothe (Wednesday, July 26,
2017) – Crews from the Ohio Department of
Transportation – District 9’s Highland County Maintenance Facility will
undertake a culvert replacement project on state Route 785 beginning next
week, requiring a two-week closure of the route.
On Monday, July 31,
crews will close S.R. 785 just east of S.R. 247 at the community of
Fairfax to replace a deteriorated pipe. The project site is situated between Township
Road 177 (Greenbrier Road) and T.R. 178 (Parr Road), and the closure will go into effect at
approximately 8 a.m. on the 31st.
The project is scheduled to be
completed by the close of the work day, or 4 p.m., on Friday, August 11;
however, completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.
While S.R. 785 is
closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 247 and S.R. 73.
