S.R. 788 To Be Closed For Railroad Repair
Chillicothe (Wednesday, August 03, 2016) – State Route 788 in Jackson County will be closed next week for railroad repair by the Ohio South Central Railroad.
On Monday, August 8, OSCR will close S.R. 788 at the 5.14-mile marker, just north of County Road 86 (Ed Davis Road) and approximately one mile south of S.R. 93, for crews to reconstruct the at-grade crossing. The project will include replacing the crossties, raising the crossing and repairing the pavement in order to correct the elevation.
The closure will be in effect through Friday, August 12, or until all work is completed, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 93.
